General Board
/ Information and greetings |

Hello to all, A cousin of mine just sent me the web address for your organization, which I admit that I did not know existed prior to this day. She must have known that I'd be interested as my mother's grandfather (and a couple of his cousins) was a member of the 1st Mich Eng & Mech from 1863 to the close of the war. And indeed, I am. I couldn't find a mission statement for your group so I honestly don't know what it is that you do (beyond the reinactment thing), where or how often you meet, or what the requirements are to join, etc, so perhaps someone would be kind enough to summarize, or point to an e address for me. Regards. Thanks very much. DK

Fellow Engineers,
My compliments gentlemen on yesterdays drill performance. I thought we'd be shaking of our winter rust, but on the contrary, we were just fine.
The School of the Soldier and School of the Company drills were very well maintained and followed. Good job on Marching by the Flank also.
And great job on our small tactical in the woods of The Grove also. Both platoons handle themselves well and properly advanced as skirmishes once in the woods. Good fight guys.
I'd also like to again thank Ian Baker and Nathan from the 12th Illinois for volunteering as our opposition force for the tactical.
Excellent job Engineers.
We had 14 members attend. Are next drill is Sunday, March 30th at 11am.
